The Fronius Primo GEN24 Plus 8.0 kW is a single-phase hybrid inverter and the ideal core for private PV systems, with Battery Back-up functionality.

With the Fronius GEN24 Plus you can get 24 hours of sun. That’s because a battery storage system can be connected to this hybrid inverter, making you even less dependent on the grid.
The Fronius GEN24 Plus hybrid inverter enables energy self-sufficiency for electricity, heating, cooling and e-mobility with the use of a battery system. This means that the Fronius GEN24 Plus with Full Backup has a backup power solution that can even supply 3-phase loads (with the Gen 24 SYMO model) such as heat pumps.
What’s more, the Multi Flow Technology lets the hybrid inverter supply parallel energy flows in the system, even in backup power mode. With the Fronius GEN24 and the Fronius GEN24 Plus, you have the flexibility to produce your energy as self-sufficiently as you desire.

Fronius GEN24 vs. GEN24 Plus: Understanding the Differences

The Fronius GEN24 and GEN24 Plus are both advanced solar inverters designed to provide reliable energy solutions. While they share many features, there are key distinctions regarding backup power capabilities and battery integration:

Fronius GEN24 • PV Point Backup: Equipped with an integrated PV Point, it offers basic backup power functionality. This allows for supplying single-phase loads up to 3 kW via a dedicated socket during a grid outage, using available solar energy when the sun is shining.  • Battery Compatibility: Does not support battery storage integration out of the box. However, with the optional Fronius UP.storage software upgrade, battery functionality and full backup capabilities can be added. 

Fronius GEN24 Plus • Enhanced Backup Options: Includes both the PV Point feature and the capability for Full Backup. When combined with a compatible battery storage system it can supply power to the entire home during a power outage.  • Battery Integration: Fully compatible with battery storage systems such as the BYD Battery-Box Premium HVS/HVM, enabling energy storage for use during night time or grid interruptions. Fronius Up Included: The Fronius GEN24 PLUS provides you with many of the advantages of generating your own energy. With “Fronius UP”, your PV system becomes even more flexible.
